Programmable logic leader adds Virtex-II Pro XC2VP100 to its
high-density industrial grade offerings - now shipping industry's
two largest available FPGAs
SAN JOSE, Calif., February 2, 2004 - Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX),

the addition of the Virtex-II Pro™ XC2VP100 to its
industrial-grade series of FPGAs. The Virtex-II Pro XC2VP100 - and
industrial-grade Virtex-II™ XC2V8000 introduced in 2002 - are
the largest industrial-grade devices in the industry with up to 47
percent more logic capacity than competing devices. Based on their
leading capacity, performance, and cost-effectiveness, Xilinx®
Virtex FPGAs are the number one choice of designers worldwide.
Xilinx is the only logic supplier to offer industrial grade
devices with embedded PowerPC technology and high-speed serial I/O
capability supporting performance levels from 622 Mbps to 3.125
Gbps. These multiple PowerPC CPUs, multi-gigabit serial
